Parents FAQs
1. Who can I pay with ClariCare Childcare Vouchers? You can use vouchers as full or part payment to Day Nurseries, Nursery School, Childminders, Nannies, Pre-school, Holiday schemes, Out of school club and holiday play schemes. The childcare provider must be a registered provider.
2. What’s in it for me? You get to save money on registered or approved childcare as you won’t pay tax or National Insurance Contributions on your Childcare Vouchers. Instead of receiving all of your salary in cash, you’ll simply change a part of it for Vouchers to spend on childcare.
3. Is my partner able to receive vouchers as well? If your partners works for a company that runs a childcare voucher scheme, your family could double the savings.
4. Is it a hassle to join? Will there be lots of paperwork to do? Not at all. You just need to call our customer advice line on freephone 0800 915 52 53 – our advisors will talk you through the scheme and let you know how much you can save each month. They’ll take your details and send you a registration form by email or post. Simply complete the form and send it back to us and you’ll be registered and ready to receive our Childcare Vouchers.
5. Does it cost my carer anything to use the scheme and how easy is it for them to set up? It costs your carer nothing to register with ClariCare. They simply complete a short registration form and post it to us, along with proof of their registration with OFSTED or appropriate body.
6. Does it make any difference to payments if I have more than one child? Savings you can make using the scheme are based on salary per parent, not the number of children. Each parent can only request a maximum of £243 worth of Vouchers each month.
7. If I am a higher rate tax payer can I still claim Childcare Vouchers? Yes, Childcare Vouchers are available to both basic and higher rate taxpayers, in fact the more tax you pay the more money you can save using childcare vouchers.
8. My employer doesn’t offer Childcare Vouchers at the moment. What can I do to encourage them? We can provide your employer with all the information they need to set up our scheme. All you need to do is get them to call our employer support line on free phone 0800 915 52 53.
